ANearly 1.9 million people in Gaza are still living in thin, unsafe tents as winter approaches. Despite the ceasefire, only 24% of the agreed-upon aid trucks are entering the strip. With so few supplies, prices for basic winter essentials—blankets, clothing, even soap—have soared, leaving families exposed to the cold. Winter rains also flood the tents, soaking belongings and making already fragile shelters unlivable.

Overcrowded tents, poor sanitation, and freezing nights are already causing sickness. Without urgent support, this winter will bring preventable suffering.
